I SAW IT FIRST! Those are the words i want to scream every time my friends tell me that they have found something fabulous on MISSGUIDED. Obviously I made the rookie mistake of sharing this fabulous online find with my friends! when will I ever learn?....

I'm actually not mad that I shared the website, everyone should be privy to the fabulousness that is MISSGUIDED. I fell in love with this website when I stumbled upon it while looking for online clothing stores. I was on a hunt to find an online store that sold clothing that you couldn't get in popular women's clothing stores. As an added bonus MISSGUIDED is based in the UK  and I love everything about the UK for some reason ( I swear I was a London fashionista in a past life). I feel like MISSGUIDED really captures the styles and trends of London with a wide range of clothing that will appeal to everyone and every trend around the world. I have yet to order from this shop, as I am afraid that I will not get my sizing correct, but considering the fact I am on the website allll the time, lusting after numerous items, I may just have to bust out a measuring tape to make sure I get my sizing right  so I can give my my credit card a workout!! Above are a few of the items I am currently lusting after from MISSGUIDED!
All links to the items are listed below

I've never been a fan of purchasing perfume for several reasons, for one i find that more often then not they are extremely expensive. Secondly not a big fan of the fact that every celebrity and their mom has a fragrance! i mean just because you smell like hallee berry doesn't mean you look like her and just because you smell like beyonce does not mean that some one is going to like it and put a ring on it. If you ask me perfume is given women false hopes but enough about celebrity perfume conspiracies.

Even with my conspiracies running rampant i gravitate towards perfume every time i go to a store that sells it, specifically Ralph Lauren Big Pony Women's Collection #2.  I don't know what attracted me to this perfume theres nothing special about the packaging and there isnt any big celebrity name attached to it but every time i spray a sample I feel like this is what Nakesha should smell like !

The fragrance is the perfect balance between a fruity and floral scent. which is perfect because often times a fragrance can be too fruity or have an overly strong floral scent.  Ralph Lauren has combined floral and fruity to create the perfect fragrance and it was totally worth giving up my perfume virginity. A bonus if you buy the perfume and body set, is that the body mist actually smells like the perfume. I cant tell you how many times i've been in a store and smelt the body mist version of a perfume and wondered how the heck anyone could state that it smells even remotely like the perfume. I was lucky enough to receive this perfume as a gift from a friend and I have to say i'm really excited to be smelling ^ this good. I definitely recommend this perfume for anyone who is looking to get into fragrances! These little pink bottles have even convinced me that maybe i should get into buying fragrances cause if there all as beautiful as the perfume above it will be worth it.

Winter Wishlist

Tis the season for stores and radio stations to drown your ears with christmas music. Its the season where we all freeze our butts off at some point, while trying to keep said butt warm at the same time. There is nothing like a Canadian winter and though you 'wont see my sliding to my death down a snow covered hill, on a toboggan,  you will see me trying to get through the upcoming cold months as fashionably as possible! So heres a wish list of things I would love to help get me through this winter. Friends and family please take this as a hint :)

Recently my co workers from my summer job gave me a gift card for Wally World
(Wal-Mart) which was totally unexpected and amazingly sweet of them. I fully intended to spend this money on school supplies....but being that I wandered away from the school supplies isle i stumbled upon some fab finds at Wally.
Real Techniques Travel Essentials $18

Real Techniques Core Collection $18

Loafers with crown detailing $15

During the summer I was having a hard time sleeping, and no matter what time I went to bed it took my  body hours to fall asleep! My roommate suggested that i follow her nightly routine, which consisted of doing absolutely nothing but relaxing for two hours before bed. In my head I thought this idea was insane because I couldn't see myself laying around for two hours doing absolutely nothing.....

But for the sake of my eyes, which by mid summer were sporting some pretty amazing sleepless night bags, I decided to give it a try. For starters when she says don't do anything she didn't mean lay there like a dead flower :). "Do Nothing", in my case meant don't stress over anything you can't change, let the negative thoughts of the day go, and most importantly just let your mind and your body simply relax!! After a month of doing this I have to say it's really made a difference in my sleeping pattern and mentality. It feels great to just relax before i go to bed and unwind, and i find myself feeling ready to conquer...well maybe not conquer..but i am definitely ready to tackle my day the morning. Relax and unwind before you go to bed! Grab a candle and your favourite magazine and let your mind and body have the time it needs to simply just be.

Cleaning out my room this weekend, to finally start a redecorating process that I've been looking forward to, was
definitely an experience. It finally hit me that my room wouldn't look the way my grandma had designed it before she passed away. In some ways I was super excited to finally have a room that would reflect my personal style, but in other ways it was bittersweet to realize that I would no longer see her touch on almost everything from the furniture to the paint. Going through the contents of my room all I could think about was everything my grandmother had taught me, from the beautiful lullaby she used to sing ( which I still sing to myself If I can't sleep) to every lesson she taught me, I found myself feeling a wave of new found peace.  More then anything I am thankful for the time I got to spent with her.
She loved me when I felt I didn't deserve it.
Made me laugh.
Let me cry when I needed to.
Even when she disciplined me I could tell it hurt her more then it hurt me.
More then anything she was my grandma, my best friend, and the person i knew I could trust with anything!
I LOVE HER AND MISS HER but.. I am so THANKFUL for every moment I got spend with her.

When it comes to Foundation I am a full coverage girl whole heartedly. You call out names like MAC, Makeup Forever, and NARS and I have tried them all, I like my face flawless and matte, and I mean for the prices that these brands retail for, who wouldn't want flawless perfection?

14 Shades
Lightweight, luxurious
Hints of natural jojoba, rosehip & sea buckthorn extractsSPF 10

I was really excited when I first saw this CoverGirl Foundation at Target, as I have personally never tried a drugstore foundation and I was looking for a cheaper and lighter alternative to my usual MAC Studio Fix Fluid.

After testing out this foundation on my hand in the store I decided to pick it up and give it a try.

There was a selection of 14 different shades, and though that is a wide selection, I personally believe that they didn't offer enough shades for women of colour. The very first thing I noticed about this foundation is that to me personally, it smells absolutely horrible. It's not even one of those smells that you can get used to throughout the day it just absolutely stinks. The foundation definitely offers light coverage, so it's not for someone who is looking to fully cover up all the imperfections on their face. To see how this foundation really worked I applied it without a setting powder, and let me tell you that was a huge mistake. This foundation had my face looking like an oil rig by the end of the day, so if you have oily skin I would suggest, a setting powder, primer, or to not wear the foundation at all.

I really had high hopes for this foundation since it was my first drugstore buy! Unfortunately the smell and the fact that you could probably fry something on the oil on my face means that for me this foundation is a no go. I would really love to find a great drugstore foundation so I would love any suggestions!
